Thermal Imaging Inspections Hampshire
Thermal imaging is a non-contact diagnostic solution for detecting poor electrical connections, overload and overheating of components. One of the main benefits of thermal imaging is that it can be carried out whilst electrical equipment is in operation, meaning no down time whilst systems are powered down for inspection.
Thermal Imaging Inspections
Due to their complexity server rooms are often missed when PAT Testing is carried out. Powering them down for testing causes business downtime, disruption and lost profits. Given their importance it is vital that servers have a condition monitoring regime in place. Thermal Imaging will reliably show any loose connections or overloading that is present which can then be rectified reducing the risks of fire occurring.
Thermal imaging is ideal for detecting faults in distribution boards (fuse boards). Loose connections create a high resistance joint which can generate excess heat causing thermal damage and fire. Distribution boards often undergo periodic inspections by electricians however this testing will not identify loose connections or components which are overheating.
